Collaborative Media Services

Collaborative Media Services (CMS) supports Mass General Brigham, MGB’ affiliates, and their patients. Our goal is to harness technologies that bring the organization, it’s clinicians and patients, closer together removing the barrier of distance.

Video Conference Services

We offer a wide range of VC services relating to:

Video Conference

  • VC Guideline
  • VC Rooms
  • Zoom Event Support

CMS subject matter experts and engineers  manage the videoconferencing program needs for Partners healthcare. In addition, we provide technical consulting in support of video connection requirements within and outside of Mass General.

MGB’s video network engineers are available to assist you in connecting to video enabled sites anywhere in the world.

Program Management

With a fully protected and secure video network, our engineers are able to plan and manage a variety of diverse programs, specific to the singular needs of your organization.

Current videoconferencing programs include:

  • Distance Education provides access to learning when the presenters and attendees are separated by distance. Often these programs can be distributed nationally or internationally and they require an immense amount of coorindation between sites
  • Clinical Videoconference Applications, including a remote diagnostic program with MGH’s Pediatric ICU
  • Administrative Programs. Managers adopt telepresence videoconferencing and Web conferencing technologies to reduce travel time, and cost, while improving collaboration and decision making.
  • Remote Consultations

The CMS Video Team is able to assist your department in managing programs involving remote patient consultations, distributing your Grand Rounds program with Colleagues across the globe, staff training in disparate locations across the Partners network and home offices.

Video Conferencing Platforms

Video technologies are evolving and increasingly easier to use. The CMS mission is to offer a menu of Video choices, delivered on a generic video platform.

Desktop Videoconferencing

Desktop videoconferencing allows individuals at multiple locations, inside or outside of Partners to interact or share applications via simultaneous video and audio transmissions. This brings enhanced benefits to collaboration between you and others at Partners, as well as with others outside the Partners community.  Please fill out a request form and a videoconference engineer will get back to you to discuss option.
